No Retirees Golf Again This Week

 SVENSSON PUTTS LIKE THE REST OF US

Not sure how many remember PGA Pro Adam Svensson who won the 2011 BC Jr Championship at Birchbank, he finished T-9 at the Honda Classic on the weekend — a bit of a disappointment because he was hitting fairways and greens with the best of them. The disappointment was watching him putt like many of us — not something you expect from a Pro.

On the bright side, he has been finishing pretty high on the leaderboard in most of the tournaments so far this year and looks like he might stay on the tour this time.

If you paid via INTERACT eTransfer you should have received a confirmation email that we received it, so if you didn't (1) You forgot to send it/haven't sent it! (No big deal)  OR   (2) IT DIDN'T WORK CORRECTLY (big deal - email me)

Please sign up online even if you plan on paying in person because it gives us a head start on our planning.

NO GOLF ON THURSDAY

Just to be clear, even though the sun is shining and the course is just about clear of snow, we will not be playing golf this week. 

Only another month to go, so don't forget to start your pre-season stretching and fitness program before it's too late — that the loop from the Victoria Street Bridge to Sunningdale and back is about 5 km (almost 18 holes). I have seen a few Retirees on that loop almost every day this winter.

Reg Cherenko captured the Retirees Club Overall Low Gross Championship shooting 77 to edge Dave Muir & Paul Troseth by two strokes.
Don Szilagyi captured the Overall Low Net title shooting a net 68 (using tie breaker) edging Tom Milne who also shot a net 68.
