 2025 SHAMBLES EVENT & LUNCH The Retirees Club has invited the Birchbank Ladies Club to join us Thursday, July 24 for a fun  MIXED SHAMBLES tournament and lunch. "Shambles" is a modified Scramble where only the 'best' drive is used by all players and then each player plays their own shots for the rest of the hole. Course handicaps are used for each player to determine the best 2 net scores on each hole as the team's score for the hole. Maximum score for any player on a hole is 9.   It was a fine day to play golf and 34 members teed off in this year's RWB Scramble. A couple of last minute line up changes due to an unfortunate  slippery shower accident and the teams were off.   RICK BROWN WINS CANADIAN OPEN Well, not 'the' Canadian Open but RICK BROWN is this year's winner of the Retirees Canadian Open Month. On the strength of a net 66 for one of his rounds he narrowly edged out 2nd place Scott Johnston and 3rd place Don Whilford.
