APRIL - RETIREES OPENING
The 2019 golf season has begun for the Retirees Club at Birchbank Golf Course. Fifty-six players braved the rainy conditions to play in the Opening 2 Best Net Tournament and to enjoy a hot meal at the conclusion of play.

APRIL - RETIREES MASTERS
The first Birchbank Retirees Masters Tournament was played April 11 with a large number of retirees trying to be the first winner of the coveted Birchbank Green Jacket.
A strong performance was turned in by Stan Trozzo who won both the LOW GROSS & LOW NET for the day. Stan was awarded the first Birchbank Green Jacket at the Retirees Official Opening event.
Thanks go out to Harvey Handley for donating the Green Jacket from his collection.
MAY - MIXED SHAMBLES
The Birchbank Retirees Club hosted the Ladies Club for their Spring Mixed Shambles event. Seventy four players enjoyed the improving Spring weather for a great day of golf and a wonderful luncheon. Thank you to all the Birchbank staff members in the Pro Shop, in the Bistro, and on the Grounds Crew for all their hard work and extra effort.

The Birchbank Retirees Invitational Tournament marks the opening of the Inter-Club tournament season each year. Eighty-four players competed in team best net and inter-club events followed by a great meal and prizes.

JUNE - DICE SCRAMBLE
Fifty-four players entered this month's Birchbank Retirees tournament called the Dice Scramble. A team best ball event which teams use the roll of a special dice to determine which tee shot the team uses on that hole. Many great tee shots were left unused because the dreaded Sad Face was rolled.

AUGUST - LONE RANGER SCRAMBLE
Forty-eight Retirees made the most of an early start in order to beat the afternoon heat and to complete in the Lone Ranger Scramble. Sunny skies and fantastic course conditions contributed to some fine shot making. Following the completion of play the teams enjoyed a BBQ hamburger buffet lunch in the Bistro.
