SZILAGYI WINS FED EX CUP MONTH

 

Don Szilagyi (holding the Official FED EX CUP Trophy) was the runaway winner of the season long FED EX CUP points race. Don was one of a select group of players who scored points in every event and only missed out on bonus points for "Dress Like John Daly Day - can you blame him?

CHAPMAN 2 - BALL & LUNCH August 18, 2022

 Birchbank Retirees enjoyed a sunny, warm morning of golf followed by a delicious lunch of roasted potatoes, pasta and meatballs. This month's event was a Chapman 2-Ball - a mix of best ball and alternate shot format.

Sixteen two man teams competed with the team of Reg Cherenko and Sergio Peloso leading the way with a net 59 score.

Our British Open Month wrapped up with another tie for the Championship with Ron Mace and Robin Valentine both ending with a 138 total. 

While both players missed out on the big bucks that the pros get for winning The Open Championship, they did get their own British Tee Bag.

AUGUST IS FED-EX CUP MONTH

Our August competition is underway with players trying to win the FED EX Cup by shooting their lowest round of the year and gaining the maximum number of points. Each month's final scores were assigned a point total starting at 100 points for first place and going down from there. The single round low score will get 200 points and players also have the opportunity to score bonus points each week.
