HOLE IN ONE HIGHLIGHTS THE CHAPMAN 2 BALL

A hole in one for Wayne DeWitt on hole 14 was the highlight of the day when the Birchbank Retirees Club held a CHAPMAN 2-BALL SCRAMBLE July 20. 
Thirty-seven players participated in the 2 Man Scramble under sunny skies and warm conditions followed by a pasta & meatballs meal made by the Bistro's Chef Kelly Shippit.
The team of John Newton & Ray St. Jean ran away with the win shooting a net score of 59.8, Larry Mailey & Tom Stevens were second with a net 65.0 score, and John Lattanzio & Stan Trozzo were close third with a net 65.2

JULY'S SCRAMBLE EVENT - CHAPMAN 2-BALL

 THIS IS 'THE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP' MONTH

July is an exciting month for the Retirees Club — it's British Open Month and players get to compete for the famous Tee Bag Award. The first round starts this Thursday (July 6) and concludes July 27. Best 2 net scores of the 3 rounds will be used to determine the winner.

LAST YEAR'S CO-WINNERS

CHAPMAN 2-BALL SCRAMBLE JULY 20

2 man teams, both players drive, then play their partner's drive to hit their second shot, and finish the hole using one ball in alternate shot format. A team handicap is used at the end of the round to determine the team's net score.
